This letter is in reference of a new English Immersion School located in Daechi, Kangnam, Seoul, Korea. In my professional opinion, the SOEIC English Immersion program has the potential and promise to soon become a leading English school in Korea. The director of SOEIC, Michael Chretien, has been a great friend of mine for many years now. I first met Michael when he held a position in the International Foreign Language Studies Department here at Suwon Science College and Suwon University. Since then, he has moved on to teach English at many top ranked English schools, colleges and universities in Korea and internationally. He currently is also a visiting Professor of English at Korea University.
Michael and I have spoken many times concerning the educational potential of his SOEIC English Immersion program. Being fluently bilingual myself, I recall learning both languages, Korean and English, through very similar, successful immersion courses and programs like the SOEIC English Immersion program. I believe that studying in this dynamically new English Immersion program is a guarantee to fluent English language skills. I am sure that the students that complete the SOEIC program will have a distinct advantage in being admitted into top ranked colleges and universities that use English to teach.
To conclude, I can confidently recommend to all Korea parents that sending their children to SOEIC is the right decision. English Education has become a paramount prerequisite to a successful future in Korea for all students.
